From the land whose name was taken from that great river the Native Americans called the "Father of Waters," Mississippi's own "Father of Waters Pipes & Drums" bids you welcome. From the Delta to the Gulf Coast, from the Chickasawhay to the Mississippi, along the Natchez Trace and rural byways of a state saturated with the sons and daughters of Celtic immigrants, we are the sound of a thousand years, we are the Father of Waters...

The Father of Waters Pipes and Drums is Mississippi's first chartered Scottish Highland pipe and drum band, and the largest performing group of Scottish pipers and drummers in the state. We are a non-profit organization made up of volunteer members from all over Mississippi, and we perform at various events throughout the year from parades to memorials to festivals. Our regular performances include the Mal's St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Jackson, the Natchez St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Mississippi Scottish Highland Games and CelticFest, both in Jackson, the Laurel Christmas Parade, the Meridian Christmas Parade, the Jackson Fallen Firefighters Memorial, the Jackson Police Department's Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, Pepsi Pops with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, Lena July 4th Celebration, Cotton District Arts Festival in Starkville, and inauguration events for former Governor Ronnie Musgrove and Governor Haley Barbour.

We are always looking for more opportunities to perform and more Mississippi pipers or drummers to join the band. We are also willing to help beginners who wish to learn the Highland bagpipes or drumming. Our rehearsals are open to visitors who want to stop by and see what we're up to. So contact us and bring your pipes or drums or just your curiosity. We'll look forward to seeing y'all there!
